Brief History


The San Diego communities have faced a variety of crises in the past relating to the spread of wildfires. Fires were frequent in the early 1800s in the San Diego regions. There was a Forest Reserve Act of 1891 that demanded for the protection of forestry due to the effects of the fires. The reserves help preserve the land. San Diego area have been known for having multiple fire struggles in their fire season mostly happening in the month of October. Most of the problems have been said to be strengthen by wind.
